FINALLY, Beverly was able to leave the
hospital Thursday afternoon, May 4
th. We arrived at Pauletta's around 7pm and for the first time in 8 days, Beverly had a good night's sleep. It will most likely take a few days before Beverly catches up on all the lost sleep, so she is napping during the day as well. She doesn't have her
appetite back yet so we are encouraging her to drink Ensure a couple of times a day. She was visited by Home Health nurses this morning and Pauletta in getting her new
prescriptions filled.
These two major surgeries took a lot of her normal strength and we expect it to be several weeks before she gains it back. She has two doctor appointments scheduled, May 11
th and May 19. These appointments will determine when she can return to
Tahlequah.
She wants you to know how much she appreciates your prayers, and also says "Thanks" for all the encouraging cards and gifts she has received. We will update you as things progress.
Those wonderful chocolate-covered strawberries were sent from Beverly's nephew Kevin and were meant for Beverly and the two other Mothers now in Chicago, Janie and Pauletta. They are delicious!!
ReplyDeleteYUMMY, those chocolates won't last long with the sisters around! Beverly has done so well, after her surgeries and with all her other problems. Sleep is a good thing for anyone, just so happy and thankful she is doing so well! love that girl!
