May 13, 2010: May is a beautiful time in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Everything is green and blooming. Even though the weather is always unsettled this time of year, no tornado scares in Tahlequah. Beverly is hoping the warm weather also warms her up. She is hoping for more days on her sunny front porch.

Beverly celebrated Mother's Day with Mom, Leonard and Janie. A picture is below, taken at Heritage Place where mother lives.

Last week was an active week with the opportunity to play "Bunko" (a dice game) with friends; she was honored at the Tahlequah City Hospital Ice Cream Social for her years of service; and had a good time with church activities. You'll have to ask her about her experience with her power chair at the restaurant. It got stuck in the highest position and she had to enter and exit her van practically laying horizontally! Exiting the van backwards and head first was the scariest thing yet!

Leonard has recently installed a special sink, mirror and shelf in Beverly's room to make it easier for her to wash her face and brush her teeth. And she'll be primping and attempting to put on makeup again!

Summer Vacation Bible School is coming in June and Beverly is already planning activities for the young people who will be attending. And she's looking forward to summer visitors. Ken and family will be in Tahlequah in July and Linda McGarry (a longtime nursing friend from California) will be visiting in June. Pauletta and Steve will also visit in August. And she is saving a date on her calendar for YOU. When can you come?
