How can we begin to tell you what the weekend of May 9th was like? Ron Tennison, Becky Gates and Wanda McLaughlin from the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Team planned and produced an event we will never forget. And all we had to do was show up! Jennifer Patrick and Etter Nottingham from the church headed up the group of church volunteers. They must have worked hours and hours to get donations for food, raffles, silent auctions items and delicious home-made pies that sold for as much as $75.00! Several bluegrass and gospel bands kept us entertained nonstop. The BBQ dinner was delicious! And all of you who attended were more generous than we could ever have imagined. The funds raised allow Beverly to PAY OFF the handicap van she had to purchase after her accident.

Beverly and one of the wonderful bands who performed
From the moment Beverly arrived, she was overcome with emotion and love for you all. The entertainment, the food, and the friends made it the most WONDERFUL day she can remember. So many of you commented on how wonderful she looked. It was your love and God's love shining through.

Jennifer Patrick and her daughter worked many long hours for Beverly's benefit. Young helpers: Anna, Jenna and Sarah

Organizers Becky Gates and Wanda McLaughlin, along with Chris Sallee and new grandson. Riley Durham was a big help all day.

And the day that followed was also very memorable: Mother's Day. Beverly was so pleased that she could accompany her mother, Pauline Brill, to the special Mother's Day Service at First Baptist Church, Tahlequah. And she so appreciated Bro. Buddy for giving Mom such special recognition. Pauletta and Chris was also present for this special day, along with Beverly's niece Susan and her family.

Where's Janie???
Beverly is still enjoying the visit of two of her friends from California, Kathi and Sue. Their support and almost daily cards, gifts and emails kept Beverly in touch and entertained during her long hospital ordeal.

Friends came from California: Sue and Kathi
We wish we could thank each and every one of you who helped make this such a special day for Beverly. There are just no words alone to express our heart-felt gratitude. Her future is brighter because folks like you who contributed to the success of the day. THANK YOU !
