It's May Day and the showers are still here! We enjoyed staying in all day and just listening to the rain. Thank goodness no flooding around Tahlequah. May is going to be a great month - with the benefit next Saturday from 2:00 until 8:00pm and visits from several California friends. Also, Pauletta, Chris, Leonard and hopefully Mother will attend the benefit. And during the "open mike" at 5:30, Beverly's great niece Sarah will be singing an original song or two. Hope to see you there.
This week physical therapy was exciting! Lecil brought out a "standing frame" and Beverly "stood" with the slightest support from the frame. You'll see her supporting herself with her elbows on the lucite table. She said she could actually feel the weight through her knees and feet! This is exciting! She still has no movement from her chest down but the ability to stand will be of great benefit to her circulation and strength.
Tomorrow night Beverly and Janie plan to attend a concert at the Sequoyah Institute of Fine Arts, if the rain stays away. Before Beverly's accident she was a volunteer at these events, taking tickets and showing people to their seats. The organization has invited Beverly to be their guest at all future events as long as she wants to attend.
Thanks for checking on Beverly again - she hopes to see you all next Saturday!
