Thursday, October 29th Well, she got moved once again! This time, to a WONDERFUL suite, which faces north and east with views of Lake Michigan,......gorgeous! This is definitely the best room in the hospital! There are many more men here than women (the population at RIC is about 80% male,) but her new room mate is a young woman who has designed her own line of clothes for female quadriplegics! We are anxious to get to know her better! Plus, it seems a bit less lonely to have a room-mate, even though the other room was SO roomy and quiet!

Today was a rough day with lots of hard workouts, but she knows that is why she is there! The therapists are SO encouraging about her prospects for independent living, and are just absolutely wonderful ! We both shed tears today and did not know why! Was it that she accomplished so much in so short a time, or what was it? For her to keep up with the young guys in group therapy.....was absolutely inspiring to everyone!

So, here is the scoop. Her new room (and final room we hope) is 702, bed 2. That means that the phone to her room is 312-238-7022. But, just in case the phone is not close enough for her to reach, you can always call the 7th floor desk at 312-238-6126 and ask them to go check and see if she can reach the phone, or just call her cell phone at 480-528-7606.

Please continue to pray for her and for her therapists and for us!

Pauletta
