Thursday evening: "The best night's sleep ever" is what Beverly said when she woke up this morning after 10 hours of sleep! Finally she's getting the rest she's needed for months. We expect it to continue since her medications are adjusted and she is beginning physical therapy again.
We received a call this afternoon from Craig Day of Chanel 6, Tulsa, telling us that the feature story about Beverly will NOT be on at 5 and 6pm but will air at 9 and 10pm. Sorry if you were waiting and missed it. We're hoping we can stay awake until then.
Beverly had two long visits with friends this afternoon and around 4:00pm, 12 men in yellow "Disaster Relief Team" T-shirts knocked on the back door! You remember that this is the group that Beverly was volunteering with when she had her accident in Baton Rouge. They have been in the area cleaning up fallen trees from homes and the first home they did last Monday was Beverly's. They said they didn't want to leave the area without paying Beverly a visit. (Check the photo on the photo link!). These men were not actually with Beverly but had heard much about her and she has been in their prayers since the accident. Beverly said she has never been surrounded by so many good looking men at one time! She felt like a "star"! What a thoughtful thing for them to do, especially after a week of such hard work around Tahlequah.
Tomorrow it's braving the "KATS" van and off to therapy, a visit to Mother, and an appointment with Dr. Hobbs. Thanks for checking in again!
