The last two days have been full, but routine. Beverly has slept better these last two nights and has had very busy days. The respiratory therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy have continued each day with progress being made. We still were able to work in a shampoo, facial, foot bath and range of motion exercises. The x-rays showed that her neck is healing as expected and she no longer need the neck brace when she is moved. She sat in the wheelchair for over two hours today and had her lunch there(Quiznos broccoli cheese soup and homemade pimento cheese sandwich). Her niece Alison sent her a small Christmas tree with all the decorations to brighten her room and get us all in the Christmas Spirit.

Her new doctor says she's ready to leave the OU Medical Center and get into rehab. We received the news on Wednesday that Beverly has been accepted "medically" at Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Center. We were all thrilled with this news, and now we are hoping and praying that the financial situation can be worked out. Apparently there is a financial committee that will determine if she will be able to go there. Several medical personnel today suggested that she consider the Valor Rehab Center. This is a sister facility to the OU Medical Center. While this is a possibility, we are still hoping Beverly will be accepted at Jim Thorpe. If you have any contacts there, we're asking for your help! Thank you.
