All is well at OU med center on this quiet Sunday afternoon. It is hard to believe this is already November! Today Beverly told me this: "When the new OU med team gets here tomorrow, we need to tell them that we want them to give us a plan!". I said "Do you mean a plan
to get you out of here?". She nodded vigorously! I said "You knowthat you have to get off that ventilator first." She knows that, of course, but she wants to know exactly what she must do every day and she wants the doctors to give her specific daily goals to reach! I told her I would block the exit if the doctors try to leave without giving us THE PLAN FOR BEVERLY. Stay tuned! We are anxious for a change of scenery and think Jim Thorpe is just the place!
On Saturday Beverly had a surprise visit from her long-time friend Christine Sunday, who happened to be visiting family here in Oklahoma when she learned about the accident. They first met when working as Nurse's Aids at Tahlequah City Hospital in 1961 and have stayed close all these years. Christine, who now lives in Boise, Idaho, had her son Cody with her and Beverly enjoyed seeing them both.
