Deedy passed her swallowing test yesterday, with flying colors! Janie and Pauletta stormed the halls of her unit until we convinced someone, anyone, anywhere to bring her a coke.....she loved it! This morning she had her first coffee and juice since arriving here four weeks ago today. She told Janie she had been awake since 5 am just waiting for it! Physical therapy is going well, and today she plans to practice a lot on her breathing. Steve and Pauletta are leaving this morning and Chris arrives early afternoon to help Janie! We know Chris is excited to see Deedy without anything on her face except a big smile!
